about the venue

Hatfield House, the truly stunning Jacobean country house dating back to 1611, will be the backdrop for two nights of cinema under the stars this summer.

The estate, set in 42 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, also has the remains of the Royal Palace of Hatfield, the childhood home of Elizabeth I and indeed where she learned of her accession to the throne in 1558.

The house has been the home of the Cecil family since the 17th century, and its by kind permission of its current occupants, the 7th Marquess of Salisbury, that we bring open air cinema to Hatfield again this summer.

Get ready for a cinematic event not to be missed!

The Luna Bar with Estrella will be onsite serving a full selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including Estrella beer, prosecco, a selection of Casillero del Diablo wines, spirits and soft drinks. Hot drinks will also be available at the bar.

Food will be available from our gourmet partners on-site. Please see our food & drink page for more details.
